Comments on ANF Project Sought

Bradford District Ranger Anthony Scardina requests public comments on the Upper Kinzua project proposal, which lies east of Kinzua Bay on the Allegheny Reservoir and covers 28,221 acres in the following townships: Hamilton, Hamlin, Lafayette, and Wetmore.

The Upper Kinzua Project covers 27,512 acres of public lands and includes proposals for vegetation management; prescribed fire; wildlife improvement and habitat restoration; stream improvements and restoration to benefit Kinzua Creek; road construction, maintenance, and decommissioning; and other resource activities. Comments on this proposal should be received by March 25, 2009. Comments received need to include your name and physical mailing address, and will be considered part of the public record for this project and available for public inspection.
