Dresser-Rand Profits Up
While many companies recording losses during the country's economic downfall, one area company is reporting a profit.
Thanks to sales of new compressors and other oil and natural gas equipment, Dresser-Rand finished last year with a 76 percent increase in profits.
Dresser-Rand's earnings topped analyst estimates, and company officials said they expect profits this year to still be in line with their previous estimates, despite a slowdown in orders for new equipment.
Dresser-Rand's profits jumped to $77 million from $43.8 million a year earlier.
