Ex-Town Justice Accused of Theft

A former town justice in Allegany County, New York, is accused of stealing more than $11,000 in court fines and surcharges and altering records to cover it up.

State police arrested 43-year-old Cheryl Napora on Tuesday after a state comptroller's audit uncovered the thefts.

Authorities say Napora stole the money from Genesee Town Court between 2005 and 2008. She resigned from the bench in December.
