Jamestown Couple Charged with DWI
A Jamestown woman has been arrested for driving while intoxicated – as she was going to the police station to bail out her husband who had been arrested a couple hours earlier on a DWI charge.
Police say 62-year-old Salvatore Labarbera Jr. was charged with DWI and leaving the scene of an accident at about 11:15 Saturday night. When they found him, Labarabera was allegedly unwilling to cooperate with officers and was charged.
At about 2:10 Sunday morning Diana Labarbera was stopped by police after failing to stay on the right side of the road.
When police charged her, she told them she was on her way to the police station to bail out her husband.
The couple will be arraigned at a later date.
