Monday in Catt County Court

A Rochester man has pleaded guilty to stealing timber in Cattaraugus County. 45-year-old Daniel Zaurini stole the timber between December 1, 2006, and February 1, 2007, from James Lugert, who owned the property. Sentencing is scheduled for April 20.

A Hamlin, New York man has been sentenced to 5 years' probation for attempting to sell marijuana. Martin Emrich attempted to sell more than 16 ounces of marijuana on May 2 in Allegany. Emrich must also do 50 hours of community service.

A Perrysburg man has pleaded not guilty to stealing from a church. 25-year-old Joshua Pettygrove is accused of breaking into the Gowanda Methodist Church between June 15 and 17 and stealing property worth more than $3,000. The matter has been adjourned for motions.
