No More Free Doughnuts in Philly
There's no free breakfast in Philadelphia anymore – at least from the court system.
For several years the system had provided coffee, bagels and doughnuts to people who showed up for jury duty. But that practice has become another casualty of the economy.
Court administrator David Lawrence says the city is too broke to keep doing it. The continental breakfast ended this week. Lawrence says it was costing $104,000 a year.
