ANF Meeting
Joe Fadden, senior field representative for Congressman Glenn Thompson (R-5), mentioned the nation's dependence on foreign oil and said, "It is incredible that any person, group or government entity would object to or do anything to prevent or unnecessarily delay the production of our own natural resources...we are facing an economic and energy crisis and the oil and gas beneath the forest grounds can help stabilize energy prices, keep jobs in place and keep people warm."
In response to Fadden's statements, Ryan Talbott, forest watch coordinator for the Allegheny Defense Project, disputed the idea of oil and gas production in Pennsylvania reducing the nation's dependance on foreign oil, calling the notion "nonsense."

Thompson sounds in favor of siding with the Texans who are destroying our forest over the local population and his constituants who want reasonable laws and regulations applied to protect our forest.
God bless good Americans like Ryan Talbott!
Thompson should attend an ADF "fly over" of the ANF to witness first hand what the oil and gas producers are doing.
And since our "local media" does such a poor job reporting on the condition of the ANF, we will work to attract more national media attention.
Thompson may have put his head on the chopping block come next election cycle!
You are twisting what I said.
My comment is: "our "local media" does such a poor job reporting on the condition of the ANF".
A fact. We have to find info on the internet that is never seen or covered by local right-wing owned, biased, media.
