The state Senate has given its unanimous approval to a Resolution sponsored by Senator Mike Stack declaring March "Irish American Heritage Month" in Pennsylvania.
The Senator says the celebrations of St. Patrick’s Day across the Commonwealth next Tuesday should also bring to mind the contributions the Irish brought to their adopted country.
Stack says Irish immigrants established themselves in every facet of American life, working in cities and the countryside, establishing businesses and farms, working in factories and mines, building communities and establishing churches, helping to make Pennsylvania and America what they are today.
Listen to the remarks of Stack and Sen. John Rafferty HERE. (Oh yeah. You'll hear the Senate President Pro Tempore, too.)
