Man Rescued from Icy Lake

A man who fell through the ice Sunday afternoon in Chautauqua Lake was rushed by helicopter to Hamot Medical Center in Erie after bystanders pulled him out of the water.

Officials have not released the man's name or condition.

The accident happened at around 2:15 near the Chautauqua Lake Bridge.

A woman who pulled herself out of the water was taken to Westfield Memorial Hospital.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
