Oschman is Chamber President

Bradford, PA – Shane Oschman, Northwest Savings Bank Branch Manager Main Street Bradford office, has been elected president of the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce 2009 Board of Directors moving from the first vice president position held during 2008.

“It is an honor to be part of a board that represents the diversity of our business and civic community. These directors are willing to give generously of their time and skills to advocate on behalf of the members and promote programs and activities that make a difference.” Oschman stated.

Others elected to leadership positions on the executive committee are First Vice-President, Christopher E. Funk, Western Regional Sales Manager, Zippo Manufacturing Company; Second Vice-President, John Sullivan, Director of Marketing, W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co.; Vice President of Human Resources, Dennis Geitner, Vice President, Human Resources, Bradford Regional Medical Center; Secretary, Robin Cauvel, Administrative Assistant, Metz and Associates, LTD, and co-owner, Times Past; Board Treasurer, Janet Cleveland, Director of Finance, Futures Rehabilitation Center; and Past President, Timothy Pecora, Burns and Burns Associates, Inc.

Board members elected to a three year term, 2009 through 2011, are Guy Signor, Director of Residential Services, Beacon Light Behavioral Health Systems; Jill Cummiskey, Donor Relations Coordinator, Bradford Hospital Foundation; and elected to her second three-year term, Susan Hughes, Administrator, Bradford Manor. Oschman and Funk previously filled the balance of board terms that expired December 2008 and both were elected by the membership to their first three-year term.

Returning to the board are Ann Robinson, Director, Business Resource Center, University of Pittsburgh at Bradford; Susan Oliphant, Research and Analytical Group Supervisor, American Refining Group, Inc.; Debora Huston, Community/Economic Development Projects Coordinator, Office of Economic and Community Development, City of Bradford; and Dr. Steven Hardin, Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs, University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.

Katharine Pude, Assistant Superintendent, Bradford Area School District was elected to complete the remaining two years of Sandra Romanowski, Superintendent, BASD who served four years on the board.

Accepting one-year appointments are Anita Dolan, Main Street Manager, Office of Economic and Community Development, City of Bradford, and Gail Hostuttler, Executive Director of Child Care, Olean-Bradford Area YMCA.

Directors completing three-year terms and leaving the board were Dwayne Zimmerman, The Grocery Stretcher, and Bob Krebs, Mountain Laurel Inn.
