Pascarella Tops Big 30 List

This week's selections to the annual Don Raabe Big 30 All-Star Charities Classic:

Mike Pascarella, Bradford Area High School

5’9” 185lbs. Running Back, Linebacker

Mike plans to attend college this fall to play baseball. Mike’s honors include First team offensive back and defensive linebacker in the District 10 Region 6, Times Herald Big 30 Defensive, Selected to play in the East-West legion Baseball Showcase, Bradford Owls 2008 MVP, and he was a Scholar Athlete. Mike was aked why he would like to play in the Big 30 game and he stated; “I would like to play one last game to be able to compete with the best players in the area.” His biggest thrill while playing was winning a District 9 Championship in 2007. In his spare time Mike enjoys hunting and fishing.

Andrew Kesterholt, Cameron County High School

6’2” 175lbs. Running Back, Linebacker

Andrew will continue his education at Penn State University; He is currently enrolled at the Altoona Campus for Information Science and Technology. His honors include; AML Football All-Star Team, and was a member of the National Honor Society. Andrew commented about being name to the Big 30 Team, “I like to play football and am glad to have one more time to play. I know others who have played and enjoyed the experience.” His biggest thrill came while playing football was participating on a team with 2 undefeated regular seasons.

Elliot Pontious, Ridgway High School

5’8 220lbs.. Running Back, Linebacker

Elliot plans on attending Edinboro University and majoring in business. This past season Elliot was selected as a Allegany Mountain League All-Star. Elliot was asked why he would like to play in the Don Raabe Big 30 game and he stated, “It is something that I always wanted to play in.” His biggest thrill came when winning the 500th game. Elliot enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time.


New York

Josh Sallie, Olean High School

5’8” 235lbs. Offensive Lineman, Defensive Tackle and End

Josh plans to attend California University in Pennsylvania and major in Criminology. His honors include being named to the 2nd team All-NCAC in West Virginia and was selected as a Pr Season All-Class B Team. Asked why he would like to play in the Big 30 Game he stated: “I broke my leg in the beginning of my senior year, and I’m not ready to give this sport up.” His biggest thrill while playing is, “getting pumped in the locker room before the game and the feeling after the game.” In Josh’s spare time he enjoys lifting, sports, and fishing.

Tom Kasprzyk, Wellsville Central School

5’11” 215lbs. Offensive Lineman, Defensive Lineman

Tom will attend Alfred University for four years studying Mechanical Engineering. Tom’s honors include: Coaches Award, MVP Lineman for the Connor & Ferris Bowl Championship, Iron Man Award, Livingston County All-Star Honorable Mention. Set a national AAU lifting record in Las Vegas during the off-season. Asked why He would like to play in the Big 30 Game he stated, “It will be a great experience for me to see how I do against others that I have not played against before I go to college. Plus I just love to play football.” His biggest thrill was winning the Connor& Ferris bowl Championship, the physical challenges that I experienced and winning our first game against Bolivar-Richburg.

Travis Butchello, Allegany-Limestone Central School

6’3” 270lbs. Offensive Tackle and Defensive Tackle

Travis plans to attend college in the fall majoring in Political Science and to play football. This past season Travis was selected to the 1st Team All conference team and he was his teams Co-Captain. Asked why he would like to play in the Big 30 game He stated, “I want to play in the game because it’s a huge honor. I love football and to be given the opportunity to play in this all-star game is amazing.” He continued on talking about his biggest thrill while playing, “is when the first play of the game when you break the huddle and jog to the line and see the guy across from you.”
