'Strike for Disaster' Bowling Results

The McKean-Potter Counties American Red Cross Strike for Disaster Bowling Tournament was held this past Saturday, February 28th with eighty participants bowling in the event.

Third place finishers Beth Alviti and Deb Shellenbarger rolled a combined score of 1344, while second place finishers Sandy and Randy Sherman had a total score of 1377. Bret and Mike Butler bowled their way to first place with a combined score of 1464.

The annual tournament raises money to support the Red Cross disaster services program, and the Red Cross would like to congratulate the winners and thank all the bowlers and sponsors for their support.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
