Two Dead in Town of Gerry Crash

Two people are dead after a head-on crash on Route 60 in the Town of Gerry Sunday morning.

Sheriff's Deputies have not released the victims' names yet.

Three other people were also hurt. One was taken to Hamot Medical Center with serious injuries. Two others were taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk with non-life threatening injuries.

Sheriff's deputies say more information will be released once family members have been notified.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
