Lucas Shafer, Youngsville High School

5’8” 160lbs. Quarterback, Corner Back

Lucas would like to go to Clarion to do the lineman course and live a successful life. Lucas honors include, freshman year was named the Most Valuable Scout, earned letters in football all four years, accomplished bowler, and in his senior year was awarded the MVP in football. Lucas’s biggest thrill is playing football and getting the most rushing yards for Warren County for quarterbacks.

Jesse Parsons, Sheffield Area High School

6’1” 190lbs. Fullback, Linebacker

Jesse plans to attend Thadius Stevens to play football. Jesse honors include being named to the Who’s Who in football through the United States Achievement Academy for the 2008 and 2009 school year. Jesse’s biggest thrill came in football when going head up with a kid and running him over.

Mitchell Straub, St Marys Area High School

5’8” 175lbs. Running Back, Safety

Mitchell plans to attend college to earn his doctorate in Physical Therapy, and continue his career in football. Mitchell’s honors include, All-MAC Conference Offensive Team and in baseball was named to the Tri-County All-Star Team. Mitchell was asked why he would like to play in the Big 30 game and he said, “Almost every year, my father and I would travel to Bradford to watch the game. It is an honor to finally be a part of this big game”. Mitchell continued in regards to his biggest thrill while playing football. “My biggest thrill was running through the sign, and seeing a packed crowd on a wonderful Friday night”.

New York

Josh Logan, Gowanda Central School

5’10” 220lbs. Fullback, Defensive End

Josh plans to continue his education at Alfred State and playing football. Josh’s honors include, 110 percent award in football, Defensive MVP football, 1st team All-Star. Josh commented on playing in the Big 30 game, “I would like to represent my school and show my talent and to be able to play one last game”. Josh’s biggest thrill came every time running down the field for the opening kick off.

Austin Raykovitz, Wellsville Central School

6’2” 180lbs. Tight End, Wide Receiver, Defensive End

Austin plans on attending Cortland or John fisher’s for either Athletic Training or Sports Management. Austin’s honors include. Being named the Most Improved his junior year, Captain and MVP of Special Teams, and was named Defensive MVP in Volleyball. Austin was asked why he would like to play in the Big 30 and he said, “I love playing football and enjoy playing the best of the best and being challenged”. Austin’s biggest thrill came when he blocked a field goal by jumping over the line.

Mike Carey, Cuba-Rushford Central School

6’2” 330lbs. Tight End, Nose Guard

Mike plans to attend JCC and then transfer to University of Buffalo to pursue a career in psychology. Mikes honors include; High Honor Student, Most Improved Award in Football, and was the captain of the football team. Mike spoke of why he would like to play in the fall classic, “This could be my last chance to play official football for the rest of my life and I want to go out with a bang”. Mikes biggest thrill came by winning the the first homecoming game in years.
