Flood Advisory in Effect

A flood advisory is in effect until 11:45 this morning for western McKean County, northwestern Elk County and Warren County.

Doppler radar estimates that many locations received around 1 inch of rain over the past 3 hours. Areas near Sheffield, Ludlow and the Kinzua Dam have gotten between 1 ½ and 2 inches.

Areas in the advisory include, but are not limited to, Lewis Run, Mount Jewett, Kane, Clarendon, Bear Lake, Sugar Grove, Johnsonburg, Warren and Tidioute.

A flood advisory means that although streams and creeks may be elevated or even rise out of their banks., property damage will be minimal.
