Man Arrested After Traffic Stop

A Buffalo man has been arrested in Hamlin Township for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

State police say while they were conducting an Operation SHIELD (Safe Highways Initiative for Effective Law Enforcement and Detection) detail, on Route 219 this morning they stopped a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Ryan Mathison for a traffic violation. He was subsequently charged with DUI and the drug offenses.

Charges will be field in District Judge Michael Kennedy's office in Kane.
