Annual KCH Charity Golf Scramble

The 14th Annual KCH four-person scramble took place Sunday, August 16 at the Kane County Club. ­­Nineteen teams took part in the tournament.

Six teams enjoyed the $2K purse.

First Place (first team low gross, 54) went to the foursome of Justin Girard, Eric Haynoski, Brent Raabe and Shawn Mosier. Second Place (first team low net, 54) went to the team of Scott Saber, Joe Saber, Scott Bines and Buzz Daugherty.

Third Place (Second Team Low Net, 55) went to the Udarbe Complex Team of Dr. Guillermo Udarbe, Sean Papa, David Sheeley and Gerry Stenta; Fourth Place (Third Team low net, 55) went to James E. Borst & Associates Team of Jim Borst, Debbie Borst, John Herzog and Donna Herzog; Fifth Place (Fourth low net, 55) went to Metro Orthopedic Physical Therapy, Inc. Team of Don Zilkofski, Ed Aumen, Scott Aumen and Jim Bell. (Ties were broken via card match, #14 blind hole, then hole #1).

All Ladies winner (not placed first-fourth low net, 67) was the foursome of Lynda Karger, Jill Schaefer, Kristen Chapman, and Joyce Cochran of the Lumsden & McCormick Team.

Mark Papalia won the 50/50 drawing.

Scramble contest winners included: on Hole #2 for tee shot closest to the American Flag (men), John Boderocco and for tee shot closest to the American Flag (women), Joyce Cochran; closest to the line Hole #4, Scott Bines; three golfers closest to the pin on Hole #7 first: Sean Papa at 4’ 9-1/2”, second: Jim Kohler 5’ 5-1/2”, third: Tyler Smith, 6’ 8”; longest drive in the fairway men and women, Hole #9, Travis Menteer and Lynda Karger; closest to the pin, second shot, Hole #10, John Bizzak; closest to the line, hole #15, Eric Haynoski; closest to the pin, second shot, Hole #16 Scott Saber.

No one won the “hole-in-one” contest on Hole #14 for a 2009 Ford sponsored by Zook Motors.

The Tournament was directed by Gary Haythorn, KCH Controller and Mark Papalia, Assistant Director of Finance.

J. Gary Rhodes, CEO thanked the Kane Country Club, the players and event sponsors -- Hamot Medical Center and Northwest Savings Bank, silver sponsors and Davevic Benefits Consultants, Inc. bronze sponsor -- as well as all hole sponsors and those providing prizes.

Proceeds of the tournament will go toward the procurement of a leading edge diagnostic imaging equipment.
