Man Who Died in Punxsy Police Car May Have Had Medical Condition
Police have decided to talk – a little bit – about the circumstances involving a man who died in police custody in Punxsutawney.
They say 48-year-old Stephn Obbish may have been suffering from a diabetic condition, and not from being drunk when police picked him up Saturday morning.
He died in the back of a police cruiser several hours after they picked him up.
Police are awaiting autopsy results. Borough police are also conducting an internal investigation.
