Two Mexicans Detained at Fair

Two Mexican residents were picked up at the Chautauqua County Fair on Friday and turned over to US Border Patrol.

Sheriff's deputies say they received a complaint that a Hispanic male touched a young girl's hair for no apparent reason while she was on a ride.

After an investigation, deputies found another Mexican man at the fair. They were both detained, then turned over to the border patrol.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
