Flooding in Potter County

The Potter County Department of Emergency Services reports several roads in Potter County have been closed due to flooding.

Roads closed include:

Roulette Area – West Main Street (West End of Town) near Fishing Creek Bridge
Genesee/Bingham Twp Area – ODonnel Road near PA/NY line
Route 244 from Main Street to Ridge Road
Route 244/449 Commercial Street by Reeds
Route 449 two miles South of Genesee – water across eastbound lane
Jackson Road – T1011/T1012 closed
Allegany Township - Gross Hollow closed

County Coordinator Glenn Dunn advises that American Red Cross has opened the Genesee Firehall for residents in the Genesee/Bingham area who evacuate their homes due to flooding.

Dunn advises residents to drive carefully throughout the County as roadways may be water covered.

Municipal Officials are advised to contact DES with any additional road closures or damage.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Attorney General Kelly announces arrests in "Operation Border Bargains;" 19 charged in Ohio to PA meth lab & pill-shopping investigation ERIE - Agents from the Attorney General's Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, along with officers from local police departments across Erie County, are in the process of arresting 19 Pennsylvania and Ohio residents allegedly involved in two separate interstate methamphetamine production and pill-shopping networks.
