Rising Waters



The flood warning for McKean, Potter, Elk, Cameron and Warren counties has been extended untl 8:15 tonight.

At 3 p.m., Route 146 in Norwich Township near the intersection with Route46 in McKean County was closed.

Flooding is occuring across the entire area, with the worst of it around the Allegheny River in Potter County. Roads are also closed in Elk, Warren and Forest counties in Pennsylvania, and in Limestone in Cattaraugus County, New York. Frank Williams tells us the Allegany River has also jumped its banks in areas along Nine Mile Road.

The Allegany River is expected to crest above flood stage tomorrow morning. Moderate flooding is expected in Cattaraugus County near Olean, Salamanca and Portville.

News 4 Meteorologist Mike Cejka tells us Bradford Regional Airport recorded more than 2 inches of rain in 24 hours.
