Diabetic Dialogue Will Meet at BRMC

“Glucose Testing” will be the meeting topic of Diabetic Dialogue, a support group for diabetes, which will be held Friday, April 16, 4 p.m., in Bradford Regional Medical Center’s (BRMC’s) Ground Floor Assembly Room.

“This is a free meeting to support anyone dealing with the diagnosis of diabetes for themselves or family members who need help with emotional aspects,” said Stacy Williams, BRMC’s director of Volunteer Services and Annual Giving.

There are 23.6 million children and adults in the U.S., or 7.8 percent of the population, who have diabetes, say American Diabetes Association officials. While an estimated 17.9 million people have been diagnosed with diabetes, another 5.7 million people are unaware they have the disease.
