Kyle Gerber, Elk County Catholic High School

5’11” 200lbs. Fullback / Linebacker

Kyle plans to attend college and work towards a Physical Therapy degree. Kyle’s honors include; 3 time football letterman, Bill Gapinski Award, AML All-Star, and Academic All-Star. Kyle was asked why he would like to play in the Big 30 game and he said, “It’s another chance to play the game of football and to raise money for charity. Kyle’s biggest thrill cam by winning his schools first playoff game in 15 years and playing with his brother and friends.

Mike Rulander, Eisenhower High School

6’2” 175lbs. Running Back Wide Receiver / Linebacker

Mike plans on going to college and play football the graduate and getting a very successful job that offers him lots of money. Mike’s honors include; District X Region II All-Star, 1st Team All-Purpose Back and Strong Safety and 2nd Team Tight End, All State all Purpose Back. Mike said “ I think that it will be an extraordinary experience and I would love to be part of the charity in order to help raise money for other charities.”

Mike Gibson, Yougsville High School

5’11” 180lbs. Tailback / Linebacker

Mike plans on joining the United States Marine Corps. In Mike’s senior year he made the Region 2 All-Star Team along with being a 4 year varsity letterman. Mike was asked why he wants to play in the Raabe classic and he simply said, “I love to play football.” When not playing football Mike enjoys hunting, fishing, and lifting. His favorite team is the Pittsburgh Steelers and his favorite player is Hines Ward.


New York

Casey Caya, Portville Central School

6’ 175lbs. Tight End, Running back, / Outside Linebacker

Casey plans on attending college for Journalism and Communications. Casey’s honors include: 2008 Big 30 All-Star, Divisional All-Star in 2008 and 2009, and Iron Man record holder. Casey was asked about the game and he said “It’s an exciting game and I want to represent the fellas I played with in high school. Casey’s biggest thrill while playing came by catching a touchdown pass from his brother Aaron his senior year.

Tyler Mendell, Randolph Central School

5’10” 200lbs. Tight End / Linebacker

Tyler plans on attending Alfred University and play football. He plans on studying Criminal Justice or Biology. Tyler’s honors include; Defensive MVP Class D, Defensive MVP for State Playoffs in the Class D Division. Tyler spoke about the game, “I would like to play in the Big 30 game because it is not something that everyone gets to play in, and you have to work for the opportunity.” Tyler’s biggest thrill came when he played at the Dome in Syracuse and helping his team win a State Title.

Matt Brown, Wellsville Central School

5’11” 190lbs. Tight End / Linebacker

Matt plans on becoming engineer by going to either the University of Rochester or RPI. Matt’s honors in athletics include; Big 30 All-Star, Livingston County All-Star, All-State team Defensive player of the Year for Section V Class C, and Defensive MVP for Wellsville High School. Academic Honors: Rensselar Medal, NYS Dept of Education award for academic excellence. Matt’s biggest thrill is the thunderous sound that occurs during a big hit.

The 37th annual “Big 30 Don Raabe charities Classic” will be played Saturday August 7, 2010 at Parkway Field in Bradford, and on 1490 WESB, 100.1 The HERO and online at WESB.com.
