Woman Facing Drug Charges
A Panama, New York, woman is facing charges after becoming upset when someone flushed her illegal drugs down the toilet.
In an e-mail sent to WESB and The HERO, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to Bemus Point for a report of a disorderly female, and discovered that 41-year-old Barbara Swan was upset when a family member flushed some pills and took a hypodermic needle from her when she was trying to inject herself with illegal drugs.
Swan left the area, but deputies found her a short time later.
She’s charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic needle. She’s scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
