Woman Unhurt When Vehicle Hits Deer

A Kane woman escaped injury in an accident at just after 8 o’clock this morning on Route 59, about 180 feet west of Collins Road.

In a fax sent to WESB and The HERO, state police say 37-year-old Alena Goldsmith was traveling east on Route 59 when a deer entered the road. Goldsmith’s vehicle hit the deer, then traveled about 150 feet before coming to rest on the south berm.

The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
