Senecas Unveil New Casino Design

Seneca Gaming Corporation today unveiled a revised design for the Buffalo Creek Casino.

The $130 million casino design has been scaled down from the $330 million plan originally planned several years ago.

The Buffalo Creek Casino has been open since 2007, but construction stopped on the original casino and hotel complex plan in 2008 because of the economic downturn.
The project is expected to create 600 construction-type jobs. When it’s finished, the casino will need to fill 500 positions.

The project should be finished by the summer of 2013.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
