Inmate Found with 'Jailhouse Hooch'

An inmate in the Chautauqua County Jail was allegedly found with a jar of "jailhouse hooch" in his cell this morning.

Sheriff’s deputies say they got a tip about 21-year-old Raheem Butts of Jamestown making and possessing jailhouse wine, and when they searched his cell they found a jar of the homemade wine.

Butts is now charged with promoting prison contraband. He was originally jailed on a charge of criminal sale of a narcotic drug.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
