UWBA Accepting Requests for Proposals

The United Way of the Bradford Area is now accepting requests for proposals (RFP) for the 2012-2013 campaign solicitation.

Any non-profit 501(c)(3) health and human service organization that would like to apply for funding must submit an application by 4:00 pm on Tuesday, September 4, 2012.

The applications are divided among Community Essential and Community Building organizations. Community Essential programs or organizations are such that provide direct services for food, shelter, clothing, health, emergency services and protection from abuse/violence; Community Building programs respond to community needs and issues.

A third category of funding, Community Innovations, supports quarterly grants of up to $1,500 for programs independent of agency funding, but those with the potential to impact the local community. The remaining deadline for Community Innovations application is October 1, 2012.

Approved funding will be dispersed from January 2013 through December 2013.
