Fire Remains Under Investigation

A State Police Fire Marshal is still trying to determine the cause of a fire that that did about a quarter of million dollars’ worth of damage to a building at Allegheny Coatings on River Road in Ridgway Saturday.

The steel frame industrial building was unoccupied at around noon, when the fire was reported.

The fire started in a second floor office area. No one was hurt and there are no suspicious circumstances.

A Hazmat team was on the scene, and determined there was no environmental damage because the fire was contained before an chemicals could be released.

Allegheny Coatings remains open for business.
