PennDOT Plow Hits Two Vehicles

No one was hurt when a PennDOT snow plow hit two vehicles in Smethport at 5:30 this morning.

Police say 47-year-old Patrick Mitchell of Smethport was driving the snowplow on West Main Street near Franklin Street, and didn’t maintain a safe distance between the plow and two legally parked vehicles.

The plow sideswiped a car and a pickup truck, causing moderate damage.

Mitchell was issued a traffic citation.
