Man Charged After I-86 Crash

An Allegany man is facing charges following a crash early Sunday morning on I-86 in the Town of Red House.

Sheriff’s deputies say 21-year-old Giovanni Salmonson was traveling east at 2:45 a.m. when his vehicle went out of control, hit a guard rail and was disabled and stuck it the road, where another vehicle hit it.

Salmonson wasn’t hurt, but was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Two people in the second vehicle, who deputies did not identify, were taken to Bradford Regional Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
