Man Sentence for Burglary Spree
One of three Tioga County men who went on a six-county burglary spree has been sentenced to three to six years in state prison.
57-year-old Scott Fisher of Wellsboro, his son 25-year-old Travis Fisher, and 25-year-old Edward Whitten Jr. robbed the barns and farmhouses of three people in Tioga County in July of 2008.
Also during that summer, the three burglarized dozens of properties, including a number of hunting camps, in Cameron, Elk, Potter, Clinton and Clearfield counties.
In July of last year, Fisher was found guilty on 76 counts in Cameron County. He has been at SCI-Camp Hill since October of last year, and will serve a minimum of 17 years in prison, for all of his convictions.
Travis Fisher and Whitten were both sentenced in 2010 to lesser terms.
