Harold 'Bud' Kreiner

Harold F. "Bud" Kreiner, Jr., 92, of 100 Red Rock Rd., Derrick City, passed away, Monday, March 25, 2013 at The Pavilion at BRMC.

Born January 18, 1921 in Bradford he was a son of the late Harold F. Kreiner Sr. and Rena Catherine (Connors) Kreiner. He was a 1939 graduate of Bradford High School and later attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated from St. Bonaventure with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology and Chemistry.

He served in the United States Army during WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

He was formerly employed by the United States Post Office and later as an Inventory Clerk at Bovaird and Seyfang and retired from Dresser Rand in Olean. He was a member of St. Bernard Church.

Surviving are five daughters, Mary Catherine (Mike) Murphy, of Farmingville, NY, Rena (Robert) Maas, of Elgin TX, Kim (Joe) Paterniti, of Jamestown, Susan (Mark) Austin, of Bradford, and Tanya Hocker, of Bradford, two sons Thomas Kreiner, of Hazel Hurst, and Harold F. "Butch" Kreiner III, of Bradford, 21 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Diana Palazzetti Kreiner, and one sister Mary Jean Kreiner.

Family will be receiving friends Tuesday March 26, 2013, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. South Ave., where a prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 11:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Noon in St. Bernard Church, with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor as Celebrant. Committal services and burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the SPCA Box 113, Bradford PA 16701, or a charity of the donor's choice.
