Police: Drug Deal Gone Bad May Have
Led to Sunday's Assault, Robbery
Jamestown Police believe a bungled drug deal ended up in the stabbing and robbery of a man late Sunday night, and the subsequent arrests of four people.
On Monday police charged Jamestown 18-year-olds Michael Morley and Kyle Senear with assault, robbery and conspiracy. On Tuesday, the arrested 31-year-old Stacey Simmers of Warren and 28-year-old William Sloppy of Jamestown. They are both charged with conspiracy. Simmers is also charged with robbery.
Police say a man, who they have not identified yet, was stabbed in the knee and hit with a bottle before being robbed while he was outside the Charlestown Apartments. He suffered only minor injuries.
Police did not say if any charges will be filed against the victim.
