Two Hurt in Hanover Collision

Two people were hurt in a collision at routes 5 and 20 in the Town of Hanover Sunday night.

Sheriff’s deputies say a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Christopher Schroeder of South Dayton, New York, attempted to make an unsafe turn into a convenience store parking lot, pulled out in front of a vehicle driven by 58-year-old Barbara Waterman of Forestville and hit the side of Waterman’s vehicle.

Both drivers were treated at the scene, and later taken to Lakeshore Hospital.

Schroeder was cited for driving an uninspected vehicle and for failing to yield the right of way while making a left turn.
