Woman Charged in Connection to
Accident That Killed Her Friend
A Port Allegany woman is charged with homicide by vehicle in connection to an accident that killed her friend back in January.
State police say 21-year-old Emily Schultz was under the influence of alcohol when her car hit a bridge on Fogels Crossing Road and ended up on its roof in the Lower Portage Creek.
Her passenger, 21-year-old Emily Schena, drowned in the accident.
Schultz is also charged with DUI, involuntary manslaughter and careless driving. She is free on $50,000 bail.
