Three Hurt When Motorcycles Collide Head-On

One person suffered a broken arm and another suffered multiple cuts when two motorcycles collided head-on in Cameron County at 11 o’clock Sunday morning.

State police say a bike driven by 60-year-old Richard Runkel of Bellefonte was traveling south on Wykoff Run Road when he crossed into the northbound lane while rounding a curve and hit a motorcycle driven by 45-year-old Matthew Jilson of Waverly, New York.

Runkel suffered a broken right arm. His passenger, Karen Runkel of Bellefonte, sustained minor injuries. Jilson sustained a number lacerations. They were all taken by ambulance to Elk Regional Health Center for treatment.

Runkel was issued a traffic citation.
