Bobbi Jo 'Bo' Austin

Bobbi Jo "Bo" Austin, 48, of 3481 Route 646, Gifford, passed away, Saturday, August 3, 2013, in The Pavilion at BRMC.

Born June 7, 1965, in Bradford she was a daughter of the late Robert E. and Erma "Billie" (Swackhamer) Austin.

Ms. Austin was a 1982 graduate of Bradford High School. She was a member of the school's track team and her record still stands for the girls shot put. After high school she attended the University of Pittsburgh, Bradford Campus. She was a lifetime member and past treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1619 in Olean, NY. She coached girls softball for the local youth league.

She had been employed at Zippo Mfg. for 8 1/2 years and then as a truck driver for NBS Trucking and later JR Kay's Trucking.

Surviving is a sister, Brenda Austin, of Cattaraugus, NY, two brothers, Martin G. Austin, and Douglas D. Austin, both of Bradford, and her loving caretaker Sharlene E. Allen of Gifford, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and her extended step family.

At the family's request there will be no visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1619, for Cancer Aid & Research, PO Box 457, Olean, NY, 14760 or charity of the donor's choice.
