Man Accused of Sending Inappropriate Messages

A Bradford man is accused of sending inappropriate messages to a 12-year-old girl.

20-year-old Robert Jones waived his preliminary hearing on charges of unlawful contact with minor and corruption of minors.

Papers filed in District Judge Dominic Cercone’s office say the girl’s father contacted police when he discovered his daughter had been receiving messages of a “sexual nature.” The messages were sent between May 21 and July 26, and Jones did ask the girl for sex. She told police she did meet him in person.

Jones is jailed on $20,000 bail.
