Obituary
Joseph Fedorko

Joseph E. Fedorko, 86, formerly of 265 Congress Street, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013, in The Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born March 29, 1927, in Johnsonburg, he was a son of the late Stephen V. and Anna (Paralic) Fedorko.

On November 24, 1953, in Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg, he married Lucy Gigliotti, who survives.

A 1944 graduate of Johnsonburg High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy on March 1, 1945 and was honorably discharged July 20, 1946.

He graduated from The University of Detroit in 1953 with a degree in Engineering. He was employed as an engineer for Keystone Carbon in St. Marys, KOA Speer Electronics and W.R. Case and Sons Cutlery, from where he retired May 31, 1989.

He was a member of St. Bernard Church. He was an avid HAM Radio operator, answering to the call letters, WN3UWT.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Janice (Michael) Wolfe of Bradford, Mary (Richard) Flesher of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Carol (Christopher) Donlin of Erie; a son, David of Johnsonburg; four sisters, Mary Fedorko of Erie, Agnes Waskiewicz of Bradford, Theresa Fedorko of Johnsonburg and Sister Roseanne Fedorko SSJ of Erie; two brothers, John Fedorko of Kersey and Francis Fedorko of Montoursville; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Herzing and three brothers, Andy Fedorko, Steve Fedorko and Michael Fedorko.

There will be no public visitation. Friends are invited to attend a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, September 19, 2013, in St. Bernard Church, with the Rev. Raymond Gramata, Pastor, as celebrant. Mausoleum entombment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial contributions, if desired, can be made to St. Bernard School or to the charity of the donor's choice.
