Philip C. Bauschard

Philip C. Bauschard, loving husband, father and friend, 65, of 61 Oxford Street, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013 at his residence.

Born December 17, 1947 in Bradford, he was the son of the late Harold C. and Florence (Brebner) Bauschard.

On June 17, 1972 at First United Methodist Church in Bradford, with Rev. Thomas Urban officiating, he married Cheryl D. Johnson, who survives.

A 1965 graduate of Bradford Area High School, he attended the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in Oakland in 1969.

He returned to the area after college and was an engineer for Dresser-Clark in Olean for several years. Upon his father's death, he took over H.C. Bauschard Dodge and owned and operated Phillip C. Bauschard Dodge from 1973 to 2006. At the time of his death, he was a technical sales engineer for Allegheny-Bradford Corporation in Lewis Run.

He was a lifetime member of Church of the Ascension, serving on the Vestry and was the treasurer for many years as well as serving as a Eucharistic minister and lector. He also was very active with the Episcopal Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania, serving on the Standing Committee, Bishop Search Committee and the Commission on Ministry.

Mr. Bauschard was a 43 year member of the Bradford Rotary Club, served a term as president and was a Paul Harris Fellow; a member of #749, F & AM; a member of The Bradford Club; a member of the board of directors of CARE for Children and was actively involved in many of his daughters' school activities, including the Music Owl Boosters the Cross Country Team.

In addition to his wife of 41 years, he is survived by three daughters, Kimberly (Craig) Engstrom, of Bradford, Tara (Andrew) Munch, of Warren and Lauren Bauschard, of Pittsburgh; one grandson, Elias Engstrom; a sister, Jane (Lynn) Sanderson, of Bradford; five nephews and close friends, Thomas and Edith Urban.

Friends are invited to call from 4-7 PM, Friday, September 27, 2013 in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main St. and again from 10-11 AM, Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Church of the Ascension, where funeral services will be held at 11 AM with Rev. Stacey Fussell, Rector officiating.
