Accused Vehicle Thief Headed to Court
Charges against a young Bradford man accused of stealing a vehicle from a Pitt-Bradford parking lot and then lying to police about it during a traffic stop have been bound to court.
18-year-old Andrew Miller, who was a passenger in the vehicle, and the juvenile driver, told police they didn’t know who owned the vehicle but they were on a dirt road near Pitt-Bradford, where a person told them to take it.
After admitting they lied about that, they also both admitted to attempting to steal vehicles from lots at Stoney North Tire and Dexter’s Service and Collision, as well as a lawn tractor from a Pitt-Bradford maintenance shed, according to papers filed in District Dominic Cercone’s office.
Miller is jailed on $50,000 bail.
