Witnesses Lift Jeep Off Crash Victim

Two people were hurt in a one-vehicle crash early this morning on Skyline Drive in Elk County.

Police say a Jeep driven by 21-year-old Justis Myers of Wilcox went off the road while rounding a curve and hit an embankment at about 2:30 a.m. Myers was pinned under the roll cage of the Jeep, but witnesses were able to lift the vehicle off of her and pull her out.

Myers and passenger 21-year-old Taylor Harvey, also of Wilcox, were first taken to Penn Highlands Healthcare. Myers was later flown to UPMC Altoona.

Police are continuing their investigation.
