Two Hurt in St. Marys Crash

Two people had to be flown to an out-of-town hospital after a crash late Sunday night at the intersection of Brusselles Street and Trout Run Road in St. Marys.

City police say a car driven by Randy Drake of Linden, PA, was on Brusselles when a Jeep driven by Andrea Harrison of St. Marys entered the intersection and the vehicles collided. They both ended up in a ditch.

Drake was trapped in his car and had to be freed by Crystal Fire Department personnel. He was first taken by ambulance to Penn Highlands – Elk, but immediately put on a Stat Medevac helicopter and flown to UPMC Altoona’s trauma center.

Harrison was also first taken to Penn Highlands, but was later taken by Mercy Flight to Altoona as well.

Police are continuing their investigation.
