Stuck Truck

Image
Sometimes the people who help the rest of us get out of sticky situations get stuck themselves. Bradford City Fire Department Captain Mike Cleveland says the city ambulance got a call from St. Francis Drive and needed some help getting out of the St. Francis Church driveway because it hadn’t been plowed, and it was difficult to tell where the road was. Well, “the ambulance made it out just fine,” Cleveland said, but as the fire truck followed the ambulance tracks out, they realized the ambulance hadn’t driven on the road. Because a fire truck is much heavier than an ambulance, it tipped and got stuck. A city DPW worker helped them out. Fire Call Prompts Reminder

Image
A fire call this morning prompted city firefighters to remind people to inspect their home’s heat sources as colder weather approaches. Firefighters got the call about a possible fire this morning, and arrived on the scene to find a faulty gas furnace with light smoke coming from it. They flushed smoldering dust from under the furnace and then checked the rest of the house for possible fire, but didn’t find anything. They advised the residents to contact a furnace technician.
