New Security Measures at The Ralph

If you’re headed to the Bills game Thursday, expect some changes before you get inside the stadium. Security officers will inspect all fans with hand-held metal detectors before they enter the stadium. Fans are being asked to hold their keys and cell phones in their hands to keep the process moving. And, a reminder that Abbott Road will be closed to all vehicle traffic between the south entrance of Lot B and the north entrance of Lot C starting at 4:15 on Thursday. You can hear the Bills/Redskins game on 100.1 The Hero starting with the pre-game show at 5:30 p.m. Steelers fans can listen to the Steelers and Eagles on 1490 WESB starting at 5:30 p.m. as well. Peters Traded to Philadelphia

The Buffalo Bills have agreed to trade Jason Peters to the Philadelphia Eagles after failing to negotiate a new contract with the disgruntled left tackle. In exchange, the Bills will receive the 28th pick — the second of the Eagles two first-round picks — and an undisclosed second-day selection in next week's NFL draft. Peters traveled to Philadelphia to meet with Eagles executives today.

Who Would Rendell Wager With?

Normally, the governors of the states represented in the Super Bowl place a friendly wager on the game. But if the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers both make it to the big game, who will Governor Ed Rendell make that wager with? Well, Rendell and Lieutenant Governor Joe Scarnati are from different political parties – and they also have different loyalties when it comes to football. Scarnati tells WESB and The HERO that, because Rendell is a Philadelphia native, if it's a Steelers-Eagles Super Bowl, there's no doubt in his mind the governor will be rooting for the Eagles. "I'll be more than glad to take up the banner for the Pittsburgh Steelers," Scarnati says. "I think we can have some friendly wager," Scarnati says. "I'm not quite sure what that might be yet, but the governor and I will come up with something that I think will be fun for everybody to watch."
