The man who tried to hide from police in a small wooded area off Seaward Avenue because he didn’t like the state parole program he was in has pleaded guilty. 55-year-old John Crocker of Bradford got into an argument with his daughter after she told him she was going to take him back to Erie so he could turn himself in. He got out of the car and hid from police for about half an hour until he was taken into custody. Crocker told police later that he would rather be in jail than in the parole program. He is on parole after serving time for drug charges. He will be sentenced on December 18 in McKean County Court. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947

A woman is facing a number of charges after she 13-month-old daughter was taken to a hospital with a blood-alcohol content more than three times the legal limit. 26-year-old Jessica Bachmaier of Erie is accused of giving her daughter a sippy cup containing alcohol on May 14. The baby was taken to Saint Vincent Hospital and later flown to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment. Bachmair is charged with endangering the welfare of children, recklessly endangering another person and furnishing alcohol to minors. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947
