Part of Route 219 Closed

Frank Williams, who is on his way to Clearfield for the Owls/Bisons game, tells us that Route 219 is closed from Lantz Corners to Wilcox because of an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor trailer. One injury has been reported. Traffic is being re-routed. We'll have more information as it becomes available. ~~~ At 4:53 p.m. Frank called to say the broadcast crew had just gotten to Ridgway -- an hour and 40 minutes after leaving Bradford. He said the roads are slippery, adding "When the semis are crawling you know it's bad." ~~~~ Another Frank update: It took the broadcast crew 2 1/2 hours to get from Bradford to Clearfield -- a little more than half an hour longer than usual. Frank says Interstate 80 was snow-covered and he talked to a truck driver in Clearfield who said he's seen snow on I-80 before "but not like it is now." Owls on the Air and on the 'Net

The Bradford Owls travel to Warren tonight to battle the Dragons in a non league basketball matchup. Owls pregame on the air at 7:20 with Dave Fuhrman’s coaches show on 1490 WESB and on the web at WESB.com . Warren is 2-0 and the Owls are 1-0. Voice of the Owls Frank Williams and Tom Bowes will call the game.

Station Van Hits Deer on I-86

The Twin Tiers Action Van hit a deer on I-86 near Jamestown while returning from the Owls game late Thursday night. Frank, Stefan, Tom and Mike were shook up, but not hurt. The van was disabled and the deer was killed in the collision. The Owls broadcast crew arrived back in Bradford safely at 1 a.m.
