Listener Wants Your Opinion ....

During Tuesday's Bradford City Council meeting, a Jackson Avenue resident suggested painting lines on the street because it's difficult to navigate, especially at night. He also mentioned that traffic has increased since School Street went back to being a "two-way" street. Many of our listeners and Web site visitors are concerned about the line-painting situation on Jackson Avenue. One of them sent us this message:

"After thinking a while about this line-painting situation, I have finally come up with a suggestion. Since Jackson Avenue is a narrow street and painting lines is out of the question, why not make Jackson a one-way street like State Street? Have it run going toward Interstate Parkway. I think that most of the traffic that is on Jackson travels in that direction anyway. What do you think?"

With Pleasant Street going one-way toward the hospital, having Jackson Avenue going the same way doesn't seem to make sense.

I agree. Making Jackson Avenue one-way would mean changing other streets too.

Geeeeeez!!!! Why don't we just make all the streets in BFD one way going the same way so no one can get anyplace???!!!!!

Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police also learned there was an active warrant against him from City of Jamestown Court. He was sent to Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000 bail. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947
