UPDATE: Pre-Teen Girls Charged with Assault

A 10-year-old girl and an 11-year-old girl have been charged in Erie County juvenile court with aggravated assault, simple assault and criminal conspiracy for dragging another girl off a set of monkey bars, stomping on her head and legs and breaking her hip. 10-year-old Rikki Triana had to have surgery to have 3 pins inserted in her hip and will receive at least a week of therapy at Erie Shriner's Hospital. She's currently recovering at Hamot. Rikki says the girls attacked her after she told them to stop splashing water on her 8-year-old sister. Her attackers' identities have not been released. A judge did not immediately determine whether the girls would have to remain in a detention facility while they await a delinquency hearing.

Your little girl is having fun at a playground when she spies a group of kids picking on her little sister. Doing what any big sister would do, she intervenes, only to discover she has walked into the middle of a hornet’s nest that results in her being shoved to the ground and stomped so severely that her hip is shattered and she requires surgery and weeks of physical therapy. Upsetting? Sure, but now add to that the fact that one of the perpetrator’s attorneys is moving to have the charges dropped against his client because he wants her to be able move on in her life with a “real appreciation” for what she did. Oh, and did I mention that the alleged perps are aged 10 and 11?

Woman Charged with Posting
Nude Picture on Facebook

A Falconer, New York, woman is facing charges after allegedly posting a naked photo of a Warren woman on Facebook. Police say 22-year-old Lindsay Head posted the picture without the consent of the 21-year-old victim, who is dating Head's ex-boyfriend. Head is charged with dispersing obscene and sexual materials. The picture has been removed from Facebook.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges after state police got a report about unauthorized use of a vehicle. Troopers found the vehicle in Randolph on Wednesday and arrested the driver, 31-year-old Bridget Bardo of Conewango, for aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was released on her own recognizance and scheduled to appear in Town of Randolph Court. Her passenger, 28-year-old Andrew Jaquish of Salamanca, was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police also learned there was an active warrant against him from City of Jamestown Court. He was sent to Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000 bail. The news leader of the Twin Tiers ... since 1947
